Description
As always, quality and durability are standard features of the Grunwerg range. The whetstone is a product used to maintain the sharpness of stainless steel knives. It can also be used on blunt knives in order to restore their sharpness.
Instructions For Use:
- Soak the stone in water for 5 minutes, and then put it on a steady platform. Sharpening your knife depends on the degree of bluntness.
- Coarse grinding, used to repair the seriously damaged edge, suitable for blunt knives. Hold the knife at an angle of 10 – 30 degrees, grind the edge on the surface of stone back and forth with gentle pressure, and sharpen until the edge is sharp enough.
- Fine Grinding, a necessary step to eliminate burrs of the edge. Use more gentle pressure, repeat step 1 and repair the edge until smooth and sharp. Generally speaking, fine grinding should be completed once a week to keep your blade sharp.
Product Care:
- Use the whole surface of the stone to keep the consistency when sharpening knives.
- Wipe it with a wet cloth or rinse it with water after sharpening, if necessary clean the stone’s surface with a soft brush. Leave to dry naturally by airing.
